Maggie Mae (previously Lil' Mama) was rescued from the Devore shelter on her last day before euthanasia.  It's sad to think about because she is the sweetest girl.  Maggie is an approximately 2 year old bulldog mix.  She is spayed, up-to-date on shots, house trained, and has had her cherry eyes repaired.  She gets along with other dogs, male and female, but cats are unknown.  Maggie is getting stronger on her walks, we feel she was crated or kept in a confined space as her back legs seemed weak when we first started walking her.  She was timid to be outside on walks, now she loves to prance and explore. 

 

Maggie has been abused but despite this she is a loving and gentle girl.  She still startles easily with quick movements, and she can tend to cower when reaching to pat her.  With time and love we are certain this will fade.  She loves her crate and feels safe in there, she is a quiet sleeper so for those who are looking for a bed dog she would be great.  Maggie has few boundaries, she does respond to no, but she wants to go where she wants to go.  This has been improving with guidance.  She is very treat motivated.  We would recommend Maggie be in a home with adults only, or children over 12.  She loves to back in the sun.
